Our services are provided by highly educated licensed professionals with extensive experience in real estate investments and property management, as well as the related fields of tax and accounting.

Our tax and accounting backgrounds have taught us that it’s all about the details, down to the penny. Many property management companies overlook the little details, or ignore what they perceive as burdensome rules and regulations. That’s not our style. These kinds of oversights can, and often do, lead to increased expense and liability for property owners. We pride ourselves on the attention we pay to details, which sets us apart.

Five Star Property Management founder Roger D. Eagleton began his career in real estate finance in the early 2000s and has been a licensed California Real Estate Broker and property management professional since 2007. In 2010, after completing his Master’s degree in Tax, Roger formed the full-service real estate company Energy Real Estate, Inc. Roger spun off the highly successful property management division in 2012, creating Five Star Property Management.

Coming from the field of tax, Roger was tired of being nickeled and dimed by San Francisco property management companies. He knew that a new water heater for a single family home should not cost $3,000.00 and he knew that there should not be a 20% mark-up on the water heater purchase just because someone at the property management company spent five minutes on the phone ordering it. But, that is what he was faced with if he wanted someone else to “manage” his rental properties.

Another sore spot for Roger was brought about every time a new tenant was needed for one of his properties. All the available San Francisco property management companies wanted to put the new tenants on a “month-to-month” type lease. Sure, this type of lease is great for tenants because they can leave at any time, but what about the owner? Why in the world should a home or building owner have to worry about a vacant property or unit next month or the month after? Owners want (and deserve) a predictable and steady cash flow and they need to have that in writing (i.e. a solid, well written, fixed term lease). Not only that, every lease renewal should be for a “fixed term” as well! Why was it so hard to find a property management company that shared the same vision??

Enough was enough! Roger realized that if he wanted to cut costs and boost his monthly rental income (while improving responsiveness to tenant concerns and greatly improving the quality of life for his tenants), there was only one way to do it…start his own property management company!

And so you have it, out of frustration (and disgust) with all of the currently available property management companies, a new vision was born…Five Star Property Management.

    • Looking for a property management expert who can take your rental properties to the next level? Look no further than Roger D. Eagleton, a true seasoned professional with a diverse background in real estate.

      After earning his degree from California State University, Bakersfield, Roger began his career in the real estate industry with several national banking and lending institutions, sharpening his skills in real estate finance. He later founded Energy Real Estate and Five Star Property Management and has since been committed to providing his clients with the highest quality property management and real estate services.

      With an extensive knowledge of residential income property, Roger is well-equipped to take on the unique challenges of managing rental properties. He works closely with private investors and court-appointed conservators to ensure that fiduciary properties are managed to the fullest potential. He also has a wealth of experience managing single-family homes, apartment buildings, and commercial properties and holds a California Real Estate Broker’s License, BRE# 01791264.

      But Roger's expertise doesn't end there. He is also a championship-winning professional race car driver, who used his platform to give back to the community through various philanthropic activities and charities around the greater bay area, including serving as a driving coach for NASA’s Teen Car Control Clinic. He understands the importance of safety, and his coaching has helped new drivers improved confidence and experience on the road which ultimately saves many lives.

    • My name is Jessica and I am the General Manager for Five Star Property Management. I came to FSPM in 2018 anxious to combine my passions with my work. I was raised by a family of landlords and many of my fondest childhood memories include visiting our families rental properties and conducting open houses for perspective applicants. I decided to study real estate and focus my career on property management as I prefer the long term commitment and attachment to properties over the quick turn-around agents experience with sales. In my free time, you will find me attending my kids sporting events, camping and enjoying the great outdoors!

    • Judy is an experienced accountant. She graduated from the University of California, Davis and has over 15 years of experience for a variety of industries and organizations from startup companies to businesses with 50+ years of history. While her vast experience has covered the usual daily financial and accounting responsibilities for a variety of industries, she also has great expertise with helping organizations streamline processes and create efficiencies that help keep them healthy financially and compliant with ever changing rules and regulations. 

      As the accountant manager for Five Star Property Management, she performs the daily, weekly and monthly functions that us ensure our property management clients get paid on time each and every month.

      In her personal life, Judy enjoys traveling and rooting for the San Francisco 49ers.

      As a Property Management Portfolio Manager, Christina is responsible for overseeing a large portfolio of residential properties and ensuring that each property is running smoothly and efficiently. She is skilled in creating and implementing strategies for maintenance, rent collection, tenant relations, and budget management. Christina is also an expert in local real estate laws and regulations and is dedicated to ensuring that all properties in her portfolio are in compliance.

      Throughout her career, Christina has established strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and government agencies, allowing her to effectively negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms for her properties. She is known for her attention to detail and her ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including tenants, owners, and team members.

      Christina is a dedicated professional who is committed to providing the highest level of service to her clients. She takes pride in her work and is constantly seeking ways to improve processes and increase the overall value of her properties. In her free time, Christina enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.

    • My name is Manuel, but I also go by Manny and I am proud to serve as the Maintenance Coordinator for Five Star Property Management!

      My professional background includes certifications as a Home Repair Specialist and Automotive Technician. I obtained both of these certifications because of my deep passion for renovating and maintaining homes and classic vehicles and my hands-on experience with both (including resorting my dream car, a 1965 candy apple red Chevy Impala that I still own and drive to this day).

      Additionally, I have very fond childhood memories of my mother's hard work and dedication to helping others, which instilled in me a strong desire to assist and support others wherever I could.

      Overall, my passion for fixing things, combined with my dedication to helping others, allows me to best serve our residents when it comes to trouble shooting and resolving any maintenance issues that they might encounter during their time with us.
